Dan Liu, M.D. graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s in arts, Molecular Biology. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2016. She was elected to the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Liu completed her residency in ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center Albany, NY. During residency she received the Center Good Physician Award, and the Albany VA Medical Center Best Resident Award. Dr. Liu served as Chief Resident at the Albany Medical Center. She completed fellowship training at Tufts Medical Center Boston, Massachusetts in Cornea, External diseases, and Anterior Segment Surgery.
Dr. Liu’s clinical focus is Cataract surgery, ORA technology, Cornea transplants including DMEK, DSEK, PK, Secondary intraocular lenses, Keratoconus and Collagen Crosslinking, Ocular surface tumors, Pterygia and Glaucoma MIGS procedures. In addition, she provides clinical evaluation and care for a wide variety of eye disorders including glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eye.
Dr. Liu is board certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is also a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and UMass Managed Care Network.
