Biography
Dr. Mark D. Barsamian, DO, is a distinguished ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal specialist. He is affiliated with UMass Memorial Medical Center. With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Barsamian is renowned for his expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal disorders. He received his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and completed an intensive two-year surgical fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Barsamian’s commitment to advancing his knowledge and skills in retinal care has led him to remain actively involved in professional organizations and to contribute to the education of future doctors as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Brown University.
Dr. Barsamian holds board certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of several prestigious associations, including the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, and the American Osteopathic Association.
